The Safariland Model 6378 is a concealment version of the all new Automatic Locking System (ALS™) series holster. Click her to watch the Safariland ALS Holster Video.Once the weapon is holstered, it “locks” into place, providing an extra measure of security from the standard open top holsters. A simple straight draw is possible once the ALS is de-activated by your thumb while obtaining shooting grip. IDPA approved. The Model 6378 features an all new injection molded paddle design that is highly concealable and rides close to the body with a slightly forward weapon cant. Additionally it features suede lining to help protect the gun’s sights and finish. Its SAFARI-LAMINATE™ structure with wraparound design provides the strongest design combination available. I am in law enforcement on the northern border of Minnesota. I own and carry off duty the S&W M&P .40 Compact. I have used a couple other holsters for concealed carry and found them to fall short of my needs and expectations. I purchased The Safariland Model 6378 thinking that if it didn’t measure up I would be returning it. I will not be returning it. This is a great holster. It comes with both a paddle of unique design that fits the hip very comfortably and rides well and an interchangeable belt loop component. I prefer the paddle as it rides a little higher and can be easily concealed under most short jackets. This is a great holster with very solid retention yet allows for a very smooth and easy weapon presentation when needed. |

I carry this holster daily with a Glock 26. This is a super concealable, super fast holster that has great security. |

Hands down better retention than serpa.
Easier to conceal than all holsters but Fobus. Yet, more retention, smooth edges, fabric on the inside makes for a quiet draw, and an ergo feel makes it my top choice over any paddle out there. |
